Plans have now been lodged to renovate the Stirling Arms Hotel in Dunblane.

We hope the outcome will result in a pub / restaurant with a friendly atmosphere with the emphasis on good food both contemporary and traditional at affordable prices.

The entire ground floor shall be utilised, with a bar and servery kitchen facing the entrance door.

Unfortunately those  who are looking for the old public bar to reopen, are in for a disappointment – business in public bars is very limited, due to smoking laws, increased drink-driving awareness etc.   We believe Dunblane already has 3 well run pubs which cater for this market – the Stirling Arms will very much be food led – however, anyone simply wanting a beer, coffee or a  glass of wine will be very welcome.

One new feature will be a balcony overlooking the river which shall be accessed from the restaurant and shall accommodate up to 60 persons.

We hope to have the Hotel open for business later in the year.

Initially we shall run the restaurant / bar under management; however, it is our intention to offer a comprehensive lease package to a chef /manager operator.
